Tax season is fast approaching and so is our 2022 administration process. Because most clients will need to fund their plan prior to filing their tax return, our goal is to provide you a funding range for your defined benefit plan or cash balance plan.
At Emparion, we have experienced explosive growth and we now manage over 1,000 plans. Our goal is to make sure that we are timely communicating with our clients and responding to their questions and needs.
We are also pleased to announce that we have established three critical initiatives to help manage our administration process. They are listed below:
- Knowledge Base
- Support Desk
- Online Funding Request Form
Knowledge Base
We have established a knowledge base to allow our clients the ability to search for key topics and to help educate clients on the plans. We know these plans are complex, so the more education we give our clients the better.
Please feel free to browse the knowledge base and provide any comments on how we can improve it. You can find it here.
Support Desk
We are initiating our support desk which will be continually monitored with the goal of replying to all questions within 24 hours (except weekends).
Of course, we know that from time to time you have more technical questions that require the help of our technical staff. If the support desk cannot answer your questions, the agents will forward your question to the appropriate staff member to be answered.
How do you get in touch with the support desk? This email is coming from our support desk, so all you need to do is reply and we’re here to help. If you need to reach out directly just email us at support@emparion.com.
Online Funding Request Form
To improve the receipt of funding information, we are implementing a new online secure form to gather information regarding your 2022 funding.
This form will walk you through the information we will need to get you your funding range. If you’re a first-year client, we will need to confirm that your compensation and/or net income will support your desired contribution. We will follow up in January with the final online form and the instructions on how to complete it.
Change in Terms of Service
We have made updates to our terms of service. The main updates relate to the following:
- We bill for our annual administration on or around April 15th. We have initiated penalties for an any payments received after June 1st.
- Your administration fees are fixed for the first two years (subject to changes in plan participants). But we are initiating a $90 increase for plans initiated on or before the 2020 plan year.
